Housemaid vs Mothers

Nowadays the women are more open minded than before. It’s clear that today the women are getting involved in everything such as engineering, work management and even as officers for the army or the police. In fact some women once they get married prefer to stay at home looking after children rather than working and leaving the housework for the housemaid alone. In this essay I will examine about having a housemaid rather the option of a mother remaining at home.

There are many advantages and disadvantage between mothers that stays at home and housemaid being in charge during the absence of the mother. The housemaids are doing the domestic work plus they are taking care of children. Even in most houses they are cooking. The house maid could be trusted enough to leave her alone with the children and housework.

Although there are a number of advantages there are several disadvantages. The housemaids are not educated enough to take care of the children. Also most of the housemaids are unskilled to do the domestic work. Most of the families suffer because of them in the early years. In addition to that we have heard about so much violence with the housemaids when they look after the children.

In conclusion, I would say that having a housemaid in the home is a good thing; but the housemaid should not be looking after children and cooking because of the lack of experience and they are not skilled and trusted. I totally agree that the mother stays at home looking after the domestic work, because I believe that there is nothing more important in life than having a perfect, safe and successful family.

Economic growth vs Enviromental protection

World-wide economical growth has a huge impact on our environment. In this essay I will discuss whether our main concern should be worldwide money-making or decreasing the rate of global warming.

It’s clear that the economies are expanding for many reasons. Firstly for the money so that people get a chance to survive; in other words the employment opportunities are providing a better life for our children. Secondly, to improve the living standards. Not only that, also the growth in development in the education and technology.

On the other hand this economic growth has a huge impact on our environment. Firstly, the carbon dioxide, which is mainly the result of the manufacturing as well as transportation. In addition it causes a rise in the global temperature. Secondly, it affects the sea level which is due to melting the ice because of increasing the temperature as I have mentioned. Moreover, the rise of sea level will cause floods. Thirdly, rising temperature has led to drought, for example that which is happening in Somalia.

In conclusion, I would say that both sides have important points. But in my opinion I totally agree with economic growth. Because, it’s highly recommended for each family to raise their living standard. That is to include better education and medical, care but the globalization should do the best to reduce these impacts on our environment, to have a great economic future with safe lives.

World population line graph

The line chart demonstrates the growth of population in rich and poor countries world-wide between 1750 and 2150 in billions. In fact it’s not real but estimates by the UN and the Population Reference Bureau.

As can be seen, the figure of population is increasing slightly in the more developed countries; whereas the poor countries are rising dramatically from 1950 to 2150. According to the chart there was a gradual increase in both richer and poorer countries from 1750 to 1950 but the less developed countries almost tripled in population to approximately one billion. From 1950 to 2001 there was a sharp increase from about 2 billion to 6.1 billion.

In conclusion, the main trend will be for richer countries to remain constant but for less developed counties to rise dramatically. In my opinion I would say that I totally agree with this estimation graph.

Mobile phone and driving

Today people never leave their home without carrying a mobile phone. There is no doubt of its importance, whereas it has been noticed many people do use their mobile phone while driving the car which is unsafe. In this essay I will argue about banning the mobile phone while driving.

In fact, every argument has two sides whether agreeing or disagreeing. People tend to use a mobile phone all the time everywhere for all circumstances, for instance, emergency cases, business, and connecting people. Today the mobile phone also could be used in the car as a GPS; it stands for Global Positioning System which supplies navigation for your destination. In addition to that most of new cars are equipped with a Bluetooth System, which is an option for using a hands-free phone safely while driving.

On the other hand, it has been proved that using a mobile phone while driving reduces the concentration of being alert to the road which is a great risk to your life and others. There are a huge number of accidents that accrued due to using a mobile phone while driving, which includes holding the phone and using the head-set. The driver must park safely for the duration of holding the mobile phone to avoid hazard.

In fact, it’s possible to multi tasking but not when in danger. In my opinion, I totally agree that using a mobile phone should be banned, although everyone has the right to use it but not while driving because it’s obviously unsafe. I believe that one of the major causes of accidents is using a mobile phone while driving.

Nowadays one of the huge issues the people in Abu Dhabi are suffering from is traffic congestion. In this essay I will discuss about the problems and the solutions of traffic congestion that we are facing today.

One of the main reasons for this problem is the increasing of the population in Abu Dhabi. An additional problem is the climate in Abu Dhabi. People often use cars rather than walking because it’s too hot; also the fog during the morning causes low visibility on the road and it’s very possible to cause a traffic jam and accident. Another issue is the construction of new buildings can cause congestion due to the trucks in the town. Another factor is that the number of women driving cars have increased as well as younger drivers.

One of the solutions is that the government should educate the people with the causes and effects of congestion, and the rules of traffic. An example of that enlightenment could be done through TV advertising and programs. Another possibility is the upcoming project of a metro surrounding the Abu Dhabi area which will reduce the number cars on the road. Also to relocate the government departments off the island.

In conclusion, I think the new project of the metro would work best. In my opinion I would say that the government of Abu Dhabi should study changing the timing for the school and colleges so that it reduces the rush hour and traffic jam.

Marriage

The bar chart demonstrates the decline in the percentage of women aged between 15 to 19 who are married in 6 Arab countries. In addition to that there is a table that illustrates the first marriage ages of most middle-eastern countries.

It’s clear that UAE has approached the highest percentage of 57% on the 1970’s. Kuwait and Libya are the next highest percentage with approximately 40% of women, whereas Egypt has almost half that percentage. In 1967 Palestine had 17% and in 1975 Tunisia had 11%. According to the graph Palestine and Egypt have less than 15%. The UAE and Kuwait in 1995 and 1996 approach less than 8%. Libya and Tunisia have one percent. In the other table the ages of first marriages were 24.4 to 29 for men and from 20 to 25.6 for the women.

In conclusion I would say that the percentage of 15-19 years old getting married has fallen in the 6 countries in the bar chart. In fact the age of first marriage for women is now from low to mid-20s in all 13 countries shown in the table.

Hurricanes and Tornadoes

Hurricanes and tornadoes have affected so many lands as well as the environment. The chart demonstrates the hurricanes and tornadoes specification features.

It’s clear that the minimum wind speed is 74 mph for the tornadoes which is more than hurricanes with 40 mph. On the other hand the maximum speed of tornadoes, 250-300 mph, is higher than that of hurricanes, 155-200 mph. Both of them have different classification scales Saffir- Simpson C1- C5 for hurricanes and Fujita F0-F5 or tornadoes. According to the graph the duration for hurricanes is one week average and they begin over the warm oceans but the tornadoes remain for a few minutes to one hour usually and start over the land. It’s easy to know about the hurricanes in advance because they that can be predicted to 2-3 days in advance over a wide area and more exactly where it would take place in 6 to 10 hours beforehand, but unfortunately the tornadoes can be predicted only 20 minutes or less before they happen.

In conclusion, I would say that hurricanes and tornadoes are both dangerous and difficult to be faced. In my opinion I would say thanks god that hurricanes can be predicted.
